OUR MISSION

Developing children of all abilities by promoting positive attitudes and a healthy lifestyle through family and community involvement in athletic activities.

Our aim is to guarantee all children and adults access to a complete range of participation, training and competition opportunities and to ensure equity in all aspects of Athletics, including the provision of rewards and incentives, coaching, officiating and administration. Seven equity areas are identified which include gender, disabilities, older adults, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, non-English speakers, employment status and isolated communities.

WHAT IS LITTLE ATHLETICS?

Little Athletics is a FAMILY activity. All children, regardless of ability are encouraged to participate. Each child is encouraged to improve their own personal performances.

To do this, our Little Athletics Centre provides friendly competitions on Friday nights and training activities during the week. By joining these activities — and —learning how to do all the events correctly — your child will have lots of FUN.

Little Athletics is a FITNESS activity. From the simple warm up exercises, which precede each competition meeting and training session, to the actual running, jumping and throwing events — all Little Athletics activities are designed to help improve your child’s fitness and well being.
