Coaching

Club coaching for all Athletes commences on Wednesday 6th September 2017. These sessions are held every Wednesday between 4.30pm and 5.30pm and are free to all members. Here the basics skills and principles to all events are introduced. There is also an emphasis on learning the importance of warm up and cool down and basic strength and conditioning.

In addition to the Wednesday sessions, Squad Training is also held for the more serious athletes and continues throughout he year.

Tuesdays - Sprints, Middle distance 10 yrs and up. Sprint hurdles for the more advanced - 4.30pm to 6.00pm Pizzey Park. Walks at Pizzey Park 10 yrs and up - 4.00pm.

Thursdays - Sprints, Middle Distance and Walks 10 yrs and up. 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Pizzey Park or Beach.

Saturdays - Walks 3.30pm at Pizzey Park

Sundays -  Sprints, Sprint Hurdles and Middle Distance, 10 yrs and up. 4.00pm to 5.30pm. Venue is subject to change and can be at Pizzey Park, Griffith Uni, Beach or other locations.

Fees are applicable for squad training and as it is also open to non-members, there is an annual $50 fee per family for non GCLA (Gold Coast Little Athletics) members which is refundable if joining GCLA.
